Interested in doing pro bono?
The mission of the SoCal Pro Bono Center is to support pro bono legal services throughout Southern California by providing a wide range of information that is designed to link volunteer attorneys, students and other advocates with legal services programs in local communities. Whether you are a private practitioner, a law student, a law firm, law school, a public interest law group, or other qualified professional, socalprobono.org is your network for identifying programs and volunteer opportunities.
The Pro Bono Programs Guide is a listing of over 50 pro bono programs at Southern California legal services nonprofits. The Programs Guide provides pro bono attorneys, law students and non-litigation volunteers with a searchable database of organizations with active pro bono programs.
The Clinics database is a great way for pro bono attorneys, students and other volunteers to quickly identify and connect with local walk-in clinics and other opportunities to volunteer. Many Southern California providers are eligible to list their own clinics: simply click 'add a case' in the Clinics section and fill out the required form.
The Pro Bono Calendar features upcoming events and trainings especially designed for pro bono attorneys and students; you can search the calendar by date or geographical location.
Volunteers: The SoCal Pro Bono Center is a free online resource for attorneys, paralegals, law students, social service advocates and interpreters. The opportunities provided here can be found at organizations from the following Southern California counties: Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.
Providers: If you are a legal services provider, please visit the Programs Guide to find out how your organizations can be added to the Directory.
