Course Overview:
Audience members will be provided with the tools and resources to:
* Identify complex issues in parentage litigation
* Learn best practices for litigating parentage cases involving competing paternity presumptions
* Understand the role of the Child Support Services Department in establishing paternity and their participation in family law cases
Our Speakers:
Glen H. Schwartz is a Certified Family Law Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is the principal of the Beverly Hills law firm Glen H. Schwartz A Law Corporation and has been trial and/or appellate counsel on many significant parentage cases during the past two decades. Mr. Schwartz is the author of numerous articles on parentage and frequently lectures on the substantive and practical aspects of parentage litigation.
Roye Randall is an attorney with the Child Support Services Department (CSSD). Ms. Randall will review CSSD's practices for establishing paternity, their role in family law parentage cases, and how best to communicate with CSSD to avoid conflicting orders.
