SoCal Pro Bono Managers Announces Summer Training Series

SoCal Pro Bono Managers, in collaboration with LA Law Library, is pleased to announce that it is offering its second annual summer training series for law clerks at both private law firms and public interest agencies.  This year the schedule has been expanded to four trainings:

6/4  Writing for Lawyers:  Presenters are Judge Bruce Iwasaki and Pamela Marx of Mental Health Advocacy Services

6/11 Effective Strategies for Building Strong Legal Skills through Pro Bono Work:  Presenters are Stacy Horth-Neubert and Jessica Walker of Skadden, Phong Wong of Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and Adam Cherensky of Alliance for Children's Rights

6/18  Effective Pro Bono Representation: Understanding the Perspective of Low Income Clients and Strategies for Working with Challenging Clients:  Presenters are Tai Glenn of LevittQuinn Family Law Center, Karen Henry of Davis Wright Tremaine, and Nisha Vyas of Asian Americans Advancing Justice

6/25  Post-graduate Fellowship Opportunities:  Rachel Kronick Rothbart of USC, Gould School of Law will moderate.

The trainings will be held at the LA Law Library, 301 W. First Street, LA 90012 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.  A flyer is attached with RSVP and registration information.  The trainings are free.
