The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) is the frontline law firm for low-income people in Los Angeles. LAFLA is committed to promoting access to justice, strengthening communities, fighting discrimination, and effecting systemic change through representation, advocacy, and community education. To achieve our mission, LAFLA's expert team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff work in the community to assist individual and group clients through advice and counsel, litigation and education.

Pro Bono Project Description:

Law firms provide invaluable pro bono services to LAFLA's clients every day. From handling major litigation, to individual attorneys staffing legal clinics, LAFLA offers a variety of pro bono cases available for placement. We match law firms and individual attorneys with appropriate clients and issues. Experienced attorneys may wish to join our Expert Panel to provide LAFLA attorneys with guidance and advice on issues ranging from appeals to transactional matters. LAFLA offers transactional, litigation and counsel and advice opportunities in areas of law ranging from Civil Rights, Community Development, Consumer, Disability, Employment, Family & Juvenile, Health, Homeless, Housing, Immigration & Naturalization, Nonprofit Organizations, Public Benefits, Debt/Credit/Bankruptcy, Veterans, to Foreclosure.
